Lilly, a 40-year old politician who fights against immigration, returns to the family house to take care of her elderly mother, Hanna, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. While there, she discovers a hidden side of her mother’s early history.


Eyas Almokdad

Syrian-Belgian filmmaker, choreographer, and dancer Eyas Almokdad holds an M.A. in Audio-Visual Arts from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK), Belgium, 2021. He also holds an M.A. Transmedia - Audio-Visual Arts, LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, Belgium, 2013, and a B.A. in Ballet Dance from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Damascus, Syria, 2005. Eyas has directed several films, including THE LAST TIME (2006), DANCERS AND WALLS (2010), DOUGH (2011), BLOODSHED (2012), MOTHER DAUGHTER (2012), UNDER THE TANK (co-directed with Orwa AlMokdad, 2014), THE OTHER HALF OF YOUR SHADOW (2015), and THE HANGAR (2019). Eyas' artistic work focuses on political and social issues, and researches contemporary art through cinema and theatre.
