Jack Powers spent 33 years in federal prison-- 22 in the brutal isolation of solitary confinement. In his first 12 hours outside of prison, Jack journeys over 500 miles from Pennsylvania to a halfway house in New Hampshire. Jack is many things: a brilliant mind, a loving son, and a grieving father. Employing an observational approach, the film explores the facets of Jack's personality as he journeys into a new world with both trepidation and optimism.
