Relics
In a world where there are almost no living creature left, one human being tries to hold onto what remains.
Drowning in Plastic
Sentinels of Silence?: Whale Watching, Noise, and the Orca
Does whale watching protect or harm Southern Resident Killer Whales? This film uses dramatic imagery and interviews to explore recent controversies over whale watching, boat noise, and orca conservation in Washington State and British Columbia.
Immuto (Change)
IMMUTO (change) features people from indigenous and local communities around the world pressing for recognition and reciprocity across distance and difference. Each person you'll meet is giving voice to the gravity of their crises and demonstrating local leadership and actions as they adapt to the climate emergency, conserve territories, fight for justice, and demand a carbon drawdown. They come forward as agents of change prevailing upon our minds and hearts in the words of one, to find a way to walk side by side so that together we can benefit the whole world.
Nanuq - An Arctic Journey From Past to Future
A multi-layered journey, uniting scientific and ontological research, transcending the limits of knowledge and time. The attempt to depict human immortality through parallel narrative arcs, through knowledge, and through memory. The protagonists of the past and the present are two crews with their particular stories, united by a great passion for scientific research. The key of the story's structure is in the mission's double significance: as scientific research and as a meditation on knowledge and time: past, present, and future come together to form the bedrock for a new path for humanity (Edgar Morin). The spectacular aesthetic dimension of arctic nautical travel will certainly be the defining trait of the visual narration of the story. Travel the sea, glaciers, and the complex atmospheric conditions which the crew will have to face are perfect allegories for the multiple layers of research which the documentary wishes to articulate: for example, the research on microplastics and pollution as a perfect metaphor for how the accumulation of information does not necessarily lead to knowledge and how the accumulation of knowledge does not necessarily lead to greater understanding of phenomena.
