Southern Sorceresses uses the direct interaction and staging of seven LGBTQI+ sisters on the streets of downtown São Paulo as devices for a cinematic experience that seeks to provoke and reflect on the history of prejudice in Brazil. At the heart of this polyphonic narrative is the importance of political alliances between the Black, Indigenous, LGBTQI+, and urban occupation movements of homeless workers.
