The First Time I Thought I Was Fat

Finding Howard: The Legacy of a Song is a film about empathy, forgiveness, and hope. Lee Domann, a Nashville songwriter, felt years of regret over a bullying incident that took place against Howard Ray, one of his classmates in 7th grade. Being an insecure and lonely boy himself, Lee didn’t defend Howard for fear of being outcast by his peers. The memory of what happened that day inspired Lee to write a song about the way Howard was treated. David Levine, educator and director of Finding Howard: The Legacy of a Song, heard the song and began to perform it as part of his social and emotional learning curriculum with students and adults across the United States. Over the past 30 years, the song has sparked conversations about empathy and left a legacy on countless people and a catalyst for educators and community members to create more compassionate life experiences for children. After losing both parents to HIV/AIDS at the age of 10, Ugandan Joseph Rutaraka is sponsored by Compassion International up to graduation. These events in the year 2000 gave rise to a series of major advances in public health for marginalized people the world over, yet recent years have seen many of these hard-won gains severely eroded, putting tens of millions of lives at risk and compounding the threat posed by a deadly global pandemic.&nbsp; In From Durban to Tomorrow, the stories of five frontline health advocates from different parts of the world underscore this rapidly worsening crisis and herald the impending battle for a meaningful, universal human right to health. Dennis Peron, aka “the father of medical marijuana” was an early advocate for the health benefits of marijuana for HIV/AIDS patients and, with his partner John Entwistle Jr, started the first Cannabis Buyer's Club to distribute cannabis to AIDS patients and others in medical need. Together with PAX Labs, Inc, DENNIS: The Man Who Legalized Cannabis was created to tell the story of veteran, LGBTQIA+, and cannabis activist, Dennis Peron, who — despite repeated arrests and intimidation from authorities — successfully co-authored and passed proposition 215 in 1996, making California the first state to legalize cannabis for medical use. When the Roads End

The Divine Doctor is about a toxicological emergency at a hospital in Western Odisha, India, where around 200 fatal cases had been reported in a short span. All the issues are due to a particular pesticide's self ingestion or suicide. All the victims are from the rural farming community, where even school-aged children ingest the deadly pesticide.&nbsp; Here, doctors are failing to revive them because they don't have any antidotes. Now few practicing doctors of the hospital have dared to come forward and taken a movement to restrict the use or ban the pesticide so as many future deaths can be prevented.
