Susan and Tom had a picture-perfect life in a small Oregon town when their world blew apart; losing two daughters in a tragic accident. This provides a small amount of solace for Susan and Tom, and the donations set their lives on a new trajectory they could never have anticipated. A DONATION CONVERSATION tells Susan and Tom’s story while exploring many other sides of transplant and donation. The film follows Dash, who is waiting for a life-saving kidney, and Marylin, who receives a transplant. We meet Isaac, whose husband has just been in an accident resulting in brain death and who is now facing an unimaginable decision. And we go behind the scenes with Erin, who works on the front lines in hospitals, making the transplant process possible and having donation conversations with families at their most vulnerable moments.
