Year 12 student Zalie struggles to connect with her demanding father and her girlfriend, while also secretly grappling with her crumbling mental health. Her classmate Jamie feels like their childhood has been ripped from them since they have to care for their younger brother while their mother works. When Zalie introduces Jamie to her friend group, the pair quickly find support in each other. But despite the budding friendship, Zalie and Jamie still have to navigate the various struggles of adolescence on their own.
