Storm Child is a nightmarish incursion in the tormented mind of a four year old child. Yasmine and her family are Algerian refugees who just arrived in Québec during the infamous 1998 ice storm.


Director's Biography:


Ines Guennaoui has directed two short fiction films. The second, Loulou ou la résurgence, was in competition at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma. With Maroccan and Italian origins, born in Québec, she is particularly interested in questions of identities and in the conflictual relationships between the individual and society.
