Director's Biography:

Rustam Khalikov is a native of the city of Kagan, Bukhara region, Uzbekistan. In 2010 He graduated from the Tashkent Automobile Road Institute, specializing in automobile construction. Before training as a director, He worked as a manager at a family dairy farm. In 2020 He graduated from the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan, specializing in Film and Television Director. The film “Return” is his graduation work.

Director's Statement:

With my film, I want to tell the viewer about dogs’ fidelity to man, it is the only animal on earth, whose fidelity is unshakable. A long time ago, I read in a magazine, an article from several stories, about the return of pets after their death to their owners, to save them from death. I took these stories written from the witness’s words as a basis for my plot. Involuntarily, a second meaning appears in the film - the presence of a soul in animals and about the continuation of life after death.
