The Best Canadian Film award recognizes the Canadian film which best meets CLiFF’s purpose of telling stories of workers, unionized and non-unionized, thorough film by sharing the voice of those who seek justice on the job and dignity in the workplace.
Attendees of this screening will vote to select the winner of the 2023 Best Canadian Labour Film.
In his first heartfelt documentary, the filmmaker takes us along for the ride as he navigates the trials and tribulations of life as an essential worker far from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. We experience the ups and downs with him as he ponders the questions “Are we essential workers? Or are we expendable workers?”
