A supernatural thriller about a family living in the same space, but not really together. The phone keeps ringing, but Beatrice is the only one who seems to notice. The intentions of the caller are unclear, until Beatrice discovers something hidden within the walls of her own home.

Director Biography

Rebekah Steffen, born and raised in Central Indiana, grew up with a love of storytelling. As a young girl, she’d record “movies” of Barbie dolls and draw comics on scraps of paper. That love turned into a degree in film production at Huntington University, where she received her diploma earlier this year. She has previously worked in production design, in films like Will Happen and Till Death, and cinematography like in Blood Rush. Her experience in those areas bleeds into her directing style, emphasizing worldbuilding and the camera’s relationship with those elements.The Call Is Coming From Inside The House was well-received at Prison City Film Festival as a nominee and the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival as an honorable mention. It is the second short film directed by Rebekah, following her debut, I Remain, two years prior.
