Director Statement

I wrote this short film, "Stay," with my mother in mind. As an only child, it has always been just me and my mom throughout my entire childhood. Inspired by Norwegian artist Fredrik Raddum's bronze sculpture, "Trans ī re," this story emphasizes the theme of never losing heart and understanding that you are never truly alone, no matter how isolated you may feel. I hope this story resonates with those who are currently separated from their loved ones, whether due to distance, the passing of a loved one, or simply missing them. My wish is that, after watching this film, someone feels inspired to reach out and call their parent, grandparent, or any loved one because, ultimately, it’s these small moments that leave a lasting impact on our lives.
