OUT ON THE INSIDE Synopsis: At a men’s prison in Vacaville, California, about two dozen transgender women have been learning to live side-by-side with more than 2000 cisgender men. Some live in huge dormitories, some in single cells. But all of these women, who were assigned the sex of male at birth, have had to fight to express their identity under grim circumstances.
