Bienvenidos a Los Angeles
Inspired by true events and shot on location at LAX airport, "Bienvenidos a Los Angeles" tells the timely story of Imani, a Nigerian single-mother living in Los Angeles, who offers to help a perfect stranger reunite with her son. In doing so, Imani learns this simple act of kindness threatens to jeopardize her own path to citizenship.
Mystery Man
When Al & L.A. meet for their weekly lunch date, they expect nothing out of the ordinary. After eating, the pair talk about what's new in their lives, as they walk the streets of downtown Frisco. Eventually, while the two are seated and in deep conversation, they notice a "mystery man" whom they know nothing about, but can't help but feel that their lives may change in that moment.

When his White, yet urban best friend Jacob, decides to tie the knot with his beloved sister, secret animosity becomes the theme of the night as their group of friends gather to celebrate Jacob's last night of freedom.

The Mecca is a short film presented by The Village , a preservation of culture through photography and cinematography that aims to educate , preserve, contextualize and represent for the underserved and underrepresented community of Oak Cliff Texas

IMANI, 26, a Nigerian single mother living and working in Los Angeles, gets the devastating news that the Muslim ban has suddenly jeopardized her Green Card application, and she must leave the country.

 

On the ride home in an Uber ride-share, Imani meets an undocumented Mexican woman, ELIZABETH, 24, whose situation is as dire as hers. Reeling from the total loss of control in her life, Imani offers to help Elizabeth reunite with her son, CHRISTOPHER, 5, who is returning to California from Mexico, not realizing this simple act of kindness carries significant risk.
