Serena returns to her long vacated home. Though it's not easy, she rebuilds her life and flourishes.


Director - Hannah Yang

Hannah Yang is an independent Korean-Canadian Director from Vancouver, BC specializing in narrative films, commercials, and music videos. As a second generation immigrant, Hannah has a deep passion for interlacing culture with identity. Her first short film, 'Mama's Song' featured an all-Asian cast, and was selected for Lift-Off Film Festival and Canada Shorts Film Festival. Hannah's directorial debut in the music video realm was for Chinese-Canadian pop artist, Serena Sun. The ‘Homecoming’ music video was funded by the 2021 Creative BC Music Video grant. In 2024, Hannah will be releasing the ‘Pretty Girls Cry’ music video for Misha Eyre, as well as her next short film, ‘The Principles of Greenology’, co-directed with Kevin Ang. She is currently developing a short film about people of colour living with keloid scars and producing a Telus Storyhive documentary about AI’s effect on Vancouver.
