20 short films are selected for the festival’s annual competition programme for animated short films from the Nordic and Baltic region. The films compete for the Golden Gunnar for best Nordic-Baltic Animated Short, Best Children’s Film, the Grand Prix and the Audience Award. The Young Audience programme consists of ten short films from Denmark, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Iceland, which will entertain the young audiences. Films accepted into Fredrikstad Animation Festival’s Short Film Competition programme are eligible to be nominated for the European Animation Awards.

Merry building blocks want to dance with you! Däncing düplös is a musician and an animator playing with sound, image, and phonotropic loops on a record player.

Kristian Pedersen (b. 1980) is a designer and animator who works at Mikrofilm in Oslo, makes shorts, does commissions and plays dice. Previous works experiment with technique and abstract visuals. Christoffer Schou (b. 1975) is a musician and producer, founder of pop group Remington Super 60, and composes music for film and TV.
