A heartbroken man stuck in grief is looking out his window towards a past love, in his floating house amongst the stars. Myling, a mysterious entity, appears and delves into the dark depths of the hidden basement, to find and uproot the pulsating source. As the entity rips out the growth, the man must confront his fiery pain, to ultimately be able to step outside and move on. Håvard Skeide Glad is a Norwegian artist, with a love for storytelling, music, and strange worlds. He has been working professionally with illustration, animation, and concept art, since graduating with a joint B.A in Visual Arts from NKF in Oslo and University of Southampton in 2015. His directorial debut was in 2019 with the solo-animated music video "Nozomi" by Teddy and the Love Gang. This gained international attention and also won "Music Video of the Year" at Bergen International Film Festival, 2019. He has since worked several years within the game industry on an upcoming game "Norse" by Arctic Hazard until 2023. He is now working as a freelancer.

In use since the Viking age as a fertilizer, food, and animal feed, the versatility and usefulness of Norwegian seaweed is vast and its potential huge. Made for Norwegian Seaweed Association by FUS! Steph Hope is an award-winning animator and illustrator from the most normal town in England. She was named one of the Young Guns 17 by the One Club For Creativity. Her debut short Not Drifting Off won Best Nordic Animation at Minimalen Short Film Festival and the Gold Award for Moving Image at Visuelt 2023. She is part of the founding team at FUS! animation, the analogue animation branch of production company FUS! in Oslo.

He also contributes to developing GRID-Arendal's visual identity and explores innovative methods of visual storytelling using cutting-edge technology. With a background in the animation, game, comic book, and film industries, Syed has worked as an animator, storyboard artist, and illustrator. In addition to his professional work, Syed engages in personal projects that push the boundaries of cross-disciplinary storytelling, using art as a means of creative exploration.

The creative task consisted of conveying information, lifestyle, a bit of play and hopefully making people change their toothbrushes for good. John Christian is a director and animator at Animasjonsdepartementet. He enjoys trying out different roles within the subject of filmmaking, traditional 2D, stop motion, puppet animation, kinetic machines, motion graphics, and 3D. These roles have led to many different collaborations both at home and abroad. There have also been some professional awards along the way, including ADC Young Guns, D&AD, and Visuelt. He received his education at Central St. Martins, where he completed a B.A. in Moving Image.

Jordan - Change

Butterflies, frogs, and flies celebrate love in all its colors in the trailer of the 14th Anibar Animation Festival in Kosovo. Sander Joon is a film director from Estonia who has won numerous awards for his animated films. His debut film Velodrool (2015) already made big waves and thrilled audiences at film festivals in Canada, Australia, and France, with its dark-humoured story of a cigarette addict. This was followed by Moulinet in 2017 and Sounds Good just a year later. His latest short, Oscars shortlisted Sierra from 2022, represents his most personal and at the same time most successful film to date. Sander Joon also worked as a 2D artist for the multi-award-winning film The Old Man Movie in 2019. Since 2020, he has been teaching traditional animation at his former university, the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn, thus passing on his knowledge and skills to the next generation of artists.

14th Anibar Animation Festival Trailer "Love"

A digital campaign for "Natur og Ungdom" association, that focuses on the development of the Wisting oilfield in the Barents Sea. The campaign consists of six short informational films that describe the potential negative consequences as a result of the development. We decided to go for a very distinct and slightly unusual style for this type of film. Touching into the grotesque to make it stand out and attract attention when it appears on social media. Since leaving Volda in 2008, Bjarne has focused on character animation and design. After several years in the industry, he has gained extensive experience in series production with the development and production of animated concepts from start to finish. He worked on Fanthomas and Sex og singelsiv, among other things, before he helped start the animation company Dragesmith in 2011. Here he helped create the award-winning animated Christmas calendar "Familien Andersen" for Startour, as well as several commercials. Since 2014, he has worked at Animaskin as a classic animator and director, with several award-winning projects, such as Ytterst på tissen and Den magiske kroppen, under his belt.

Wisting, Natur og Ungdom

A short animation about the melting heart of the world's glaciers. Made for composer and musician Terje Isungset who made the recordings during the most northern ice concert ever. Played on instruments made of natural ice. The music video serves as a reminder of the increasing threat of global warming to glaciers while also paying tribute to the visual beauty and enchanting sound of ice. Simone Hooymans was born in the Netherlands and has lived and worked for 12 years in the international AiR Kunstnarhuset Messen in Ålvik, Norway. She graduated from the Art Academy for Visual Art in Arnhem (Artez) and an M.A. from the Art Academy Breda (St. Joost), in the Netherlands. Hooymans took part in many international group exhibitions and film festivals. She received the Honorable Mention Award at Kortfilmfestivalen in Grimstad in 2017. She won the audience award for best animation during the animation festival ReAnima in Bergen in November 2020 for the film Ras (Earthfall), produced by Aldeles AS Norway. Her animations and drawings are in museum collections in the Netherlands, the UK, and in Norway.

A Future There is a short film directed and animated by Daria Volovyk and Charlotte Heyman where Daria tells her own story of how she had to leave her home when the war started in Ukraine and start a new life in Sweden. The film is a legacy project of "Musikhjälpen", a charity event organized by Swedish radio and television each year. This year it took place in Gothenburg and the city, together with the youth council, wanted to enhance the theme of the project; the Convention on the Rights of the Child and in particular the right to be safe as a refugee. Daria Volovyk is a young Ukrainian artist based in Sweden. As a student in Ukraine, she was involved in projects in film, music, and performance. A Future There is her first animated film. Charlotte Heyman is an animation director based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Charlotte has worked with animation in different contexts, from computer games, documentaries, and exhibitions to performances and short films.

A future there

Short commercial dramatizing the concept of IT company Atea's product "Pentesting". Ronald Kabíček is a Norwegian film director, 3D artist, and illustrator. He has directed numerous commercials and commissioned films, and a handful of music videos. Most recently a music video for Monoswezi's Kuwonererwa, which has won several awards worldwide. Kabíček is also one of the creators of the award-winning comic book series Krüger & Krogh.

Atea Pentester

Music video for Peace Bringa. Kristofer is an animator with an eye for the fun and absurd. His films are often character-driven, set in colorful and playful worlds. His techniques vary from 2D and 3D to mixed media, resulting in outstanding results for commercials, motion graphics, and music videos. Kristofer is also a very skilled illustrator who has been exhibited in London, Malmö, and other cities. As a musician and recording artist on his own music videos have always been close to his heart. Alongside all this doodling and directing Kristofer has continued to perform and release music through his solo project Ljudbilden & Piloten and even sustain a long-running popular blog with his iPhone drawings from his daily commute.

A plastic bag goes through recycling and becomes Handybag. Even before reaching his teenage years Olov was already animating and directing. Today he is a multi-award-winning animation director who has earned a name for himself in the international animation market for his unique design and captivating visual storytelling. Olov first came from a stop motion background, and even though the tools have changed and his main technique today is CGI, the love for the handmade feeling has stayed in his work and can clearly be seen in the work he does to this day.

A digital collage of a series of unexpected events. Jonas Odell specializes in making films blending live-action and various mixed-media animation techniques.Jonas’ short film Never Like The First Time! was awarded with the Golden Bear for best short film at the Berlin Film Festival 2006. His short Lies was awarded as Best International Short at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009. Three of his short films have also been awarded the “Guldbagge”, the Swedish movie award. Jonas has also directed music videos for artists such as The Rolling Stones, Goldfrapp, U2, and Franz Ferdinand. For the latter, he received an award for breakthrough video of the year at the MTV Music Awards 2004 as well as a Grammy nomination. He has directed commercials for a number of international clients including BMW, Volvo, IKEA, and Google.

She holds a B.A in Film Editing and Audio Directing from Latvijas Kulturas Akademija National Film School. Prior to that, she attended VECC "National School of Arts" Janis Rozentals Art School, specializing in Multimedia Design. Currently, Helēna works as a visual effects artist, primarily focusing on movies and music videos. She has collaborated with several Latvian musicians, including Tautumeitas, Samanta Tīna, Būū, Fiņķis, and Diona, creating captivating visual effects and animations. Outside of her professional endeavors, Helēna indulges in various creative pursuits. Her main passion lies in 3D art, where she explores her artistic vision. Additionally, she enjoys painting and regularly attends ceramics classes. These activities fuel her creative flow and contribute to her ability to generate innovative ideas in her professional work. Helēna's talent and dedication have been recognized, with her recent work as an editor on the short film Bone-Dry being showcased at the FiSH Film Festival in Rostock, Germany. Having nurtured her artistic abilities since she was a little kid, Helēna's journey has evolved from drawing to painting, video art, and eventually 3D art, combining various mediums to express her creativity. Looking ahead, Helēna aspires to continue working on fun and creative music videos, collaborating with like-minded individuals who share her artistic vision. Overall, Helēna Ozola is a talented visual effects artist, constantly exploring new avenues for artistic expression and bringing captivating visuals to life through her work in the film and music industry.

A Trip to Infinity is a scientific documentary film where eminent mathematicians, physicists, and cosmologists dive into the concept of infinity and its mind-bending implications for the universe. The film is a co-production between Room608 in New York and MakeMake in Los Angeles for Netflix. The filmmakers wanted to convey the fascinating scientific concepts of the infinite through dynamic visualizations and animations. A selected group of directors, studios, and motion designers were asked to contribute with one or more sequences each. The result is a mesmerizing film consisting of an eclectic collection of styles – from traditional cel animation to programmed visuals.TRY Motion was invited to animate and direct the sequence titled Infinity is a Circle, shown here at Fredrikstad Animation Festival. In this part of the film, circles and number lines are used as examples of different kinds of infinities to illustrate how some infinities are bigger than others. TRY Motion is an Oslo-based motion studio working strategically at the intersection of design, illustration, and technical solutions. The studio is a part of TRY, and has over 20 years of experience with direction, concept development, and art direction for motion design.

Ammo is a Norwegian drama thriller about arms export. The series follows Bjørn who is headhunted into the Norwegian arms industry. This industry is in the midst of a revolution of artificial intelligence. Who is to blame if innocent people are killed with these weapons? The title sequence reflects the central themes of the series: drones controlled by artificial intelligence, and the implications of what would happen if the A.I. makes the wrong choice. TRY Motion is an Oslo-based motion studio working strategically at the intersection of design, illustration, and technical solutions. The studio is a part of TRY, and has over 20 years of experience with direction, concept development, and art direction for motion design.

Ammo – Title Sequence

"The Gulag Archipelago" is the third single and opening track from Tankist's sophomore full-length "Forced Equal" which was released on June 28th, 2023. With the title referring to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's magnum opus, the song sets the scene for the concept album which deals with the gruesome topic of Soviet forced labor camps. The technically and compositionally innovative music video is entirely comprised of AI-generated images which are animated by the talented Italian director Moreno Tempini. The viewer gets taken on a disturbing journey through what can be interpreted as a hell of abhorrent repressions carried out by totalitarian regimes. Moreno Tempini is a young videomaker based in Brescia, Italy. Over the years Tempini had the opportunity to experiment and combine different techniques to best express the atmosphere and ideas that each track offered me, trying to deepen the meaning of each single track.
