Clarence, an art gallery security guard with a sick daughter, suspects Sheila, a gallery visitor, is planning to steal a painting. But the Curator dismisses his suspicions and tells him to focus on doing his rounds.

After hours, Clarence catches Sheila outside the gallery, where she confesses her plan to steal the painting her daughter painted for her before she died. When Clarence confronts the Curator, she offers him $5000 to forget the whole thing. But during his nightly rounds, Clarence discovers Sheila has tampered with one of the door locks, so she can steal the painting that night, and has to choose between doing the right thing, or doing his job.
