Inspired by Denis Villeneuve's Arrival, Shane Carruth's Upstream Color, and the lyrical works of Terrence Malick, Redemption is a story of a broken family who must learn to forgive and make peace as their involvement in a car crash leads them into an unescapable plane of reality between our world and the afterlife, as they mourn their mother's death.

Created in isolation by teenage Latino-American filmmaker Diego Andaluz over three days with just an iPhone and no traditional filmmaking equipment, Redemption is Andaluz's most ambitious production yet, coming off of the success of Andaluz's previous short Dante: A Replication, and is Diego Andaluz's second selected film playing at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.

Andaluz Films was founded by filmmaker Diego Andaluz to give young, passionate, and marginalized filmmaking talents an avenue through which they can have the resources to execute their bold and experimental visions to revolutionize the filmmaking industry, one film at a time. Redemption is both Andaluz Films' and Diego Andaluz's second short film.
