This film series explores Jewish identity through stories of loss, resilience, and questioning — from the lives of Ugandan Jews to Israeli families coping with grief, faith, and trauma. The films confront themes of life and death, gender roles, and the enduring question: Why be Jewish? One of the films features a performance by an Ophir Award winner for Best Lead Actor, adding further depth to this powerful collection.

Rachel Namudosi, a third-generation Ugandan Jew and lead singer of her musical family, balances raising four children, making music, and leading Shabbat services. Through her story, the film explores her experiences with antisemitism, her community’s efforts to overcome religious tensions, and her hopeful vision for the Abayudaya’s connection to Israel.
