Solace is a short, poetic film on navigating the 2020 pandemic as an expat in Sri Lanka. A year that presented challenges and opportunities for everyone, there was always something to find solace in. For us, it was the sea.


About the Director:

Amanda Prifti is the Director, Cinematographer, Editor and all around creative genius behind Solace. A photographer, filmmaker and surfer from New England, she splits her time between the US and Sri Lanka where she uses her camera to connect with the sea and her fellow surfers. In addition to her creative work, Amanda is the co-founder for SeaSisters Sri Lanka: a social enterprise that empowers local girls through swimming and surfing. Solace is her first film.
