About the Director:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/4ab24115aaee476e04752de93b93b0d2.jpg" width="133" style="display: inline; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em; float: right;">Amanda Prifti is the Director, Cinematographer, Editor and all around creative genius behind Solace. A photographer, filmmaker and surfer from New England, she splits her time between the US and Sri Lanka where she uses her camera to connect with the sea and her fellow surfers. In addition to her creative work, Amanda is the co-founder for SeaSisters Sri Lanka: a social enterprise that empowers local girls through swimming and surfing. Solace is her first film. Havana Libré chronicles their fight in the face of political oppression, confronting borders and outdated ideologies along the way. Having shot amidst the Ebola crisis in Liberia to the streets of Argentina, to the shores of Cuba, Mclean has developed a knack for finding the endearing qualities of the human spirit in the face of hardship. He has had short form work featured at Mountain Film Festival, Camden International Film Festival, and by the WSL, as well as writing in Good Magazine, The Inertia, The Adventure Journal, and The Surfer’s Journal.
