A paper boy realizes his fear is the same as his hope.

Pena has been a truck driver for five decades. Recently his memory hasn´t been so good and has caused him a few problems here and there. Finally, law enforcement have caught up with him as well. Luckily he has friends and family who support him during his journey as a hauler who only works on weekends. He has worked in photography, drawing and sculpture, but to many of his fans, the most beloved of his works are the short films he makes at his own farm. The films deal with age-old questions related to morality, love, death, generation gaps and, of course, submarines. The ideas are epic, the films decidedly homespun. His movies create their own world that tells us something essential about ours.

Pena is an old man who won´t let small memory issues slow down his hauling business.

Young Brett's perfect plan to surprise his Father for his birthday is thrown into jeopardy as his Dad hijacks the agenda by corralling his son to the local Johannesburg betting bar with the promise of resuming the day’s festivities as soon as possible. Inside the bar, tensions rise as Brett realizes his Father’s scheme after he is tasked with making a seemingly harmless horse racing bet on his Dad's behalf. Desperate to save his Father's birthday surprise, Brett accepts the responsibility only to unwittingly unleash a sea of chaos that enmeshes him in his Dad's debts and crooked dealings as he starts to unravel the man he thinks his father is. His work is driven by his passion to share morally complex and character rich South African stories, while also pursuing universal themes such as unrequited love, grief and the special feeling you get in your chest when something takes your breath away. Jason received his MFA in filmmaking from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His latest film 'PUNTER' is executive produced by Spike Lee. The film won First Prize at NYU’s First Run Film Competition. The film is a top 3 finalist for a Student BAFTA. He misses going to the movies with his dad.

As the holiday festivities pile up, John's mind teeters on the edge of madness, haunted by the hypocrisy and loss symbolized by the season. Driven to reclaim his sense of justice, he devises a bizarre revenge plot. He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Shane is a former Sundance Institute fellow and has an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in writing and directing. Shane’s films have screened in tribal communities, museums and film festivals around the world.

A Thanksgiving wish provokes an Indigenous man's wrath, driving him to plot an absurd revenge plan.

ILY, BYE follows Siobhan, a quirky, socially anxious mess who can't seem to keep a job. Thanks to the help of her best friend Gary, she scores an interview with his boss, Mr. Litchfield. When her call to schedule the interview goes to voicemail, Siobhan panics and leaves a series of unhinged messages. Not wanting to lose the interview, she embarks on a chaotic mission to delete the voicemails herself... Director's Bio:<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/0adf390dc8ea92211b539820af3298ce.jpg" width="154" style="display: inline; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em;">Taylor James (yes… like the singer in reverse) is a retired backup dancer turned director and writer. Following a successful 15 year career sharing the screen/stage with many of the worlds top performers, he transitioned to filmmaking after being forced into retirement due to old age (...33). Starting out, Taylor cut his teeth in music videos and commercials. "ILY, BYE" marks Taylor's narrative debut as a filmmaker.
