Director's Bio:


Jun Shimizu is a Japanese-American award-winning director, writer, and editor based in Los Angeles. Born in NYC and raised in France/Switzerland, Jun started shooting and editing at the age of 15, cementing his training as a filmmaker at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2019, Jun co-directed Speak Easy, B. - a surreal queer short that has screened in over 15 film festivals and won numerous accolades, including LAAPF’s New Directors/New Visions award. In 2020, Jun’s pitch for Eyecatcher won 1st prize with Script Pipeline’s Great Movie Ideas contest. Jun has worked in various creative capacities across Japan, Europe, and the U.S. with non-profits like UNESCO and CAP UCLA and award-winning production companies such as TK Digital, mitú, Superlative, Wondros, Zambezi and Netflix.
