Director Statement

Becoming a father puts a lot of things into perspective such as priorities, responsibilities, and fears. For this film, I wanted to tackle one of my new fears: the loss of a child. It's one of the worst things imaginable. I had my first daughter during the pandemic and it was a harrowing experience trying to keep her safe and healthy. And now, as a #girldad with two adorable girls, I would be inconsolable if I ever lost one. Parasomnia touches on grief and loss, and what those emotions can do to a person who is struggling to move on by personifying them in a malicious, evil presence.
