Homebird
Having left without warning months prior, Conor (Peter Young) has returned to his hometown after dropping out of university across the water, meeting up with his father for a tense reunion on the town’s seafront. Set against the backdrop of the Northern Irish coast, Homebird explores the relationship between an emotionally reclusive father struggling to re-connect with his estranged gay son, and a son learning to forgive.

In the Mountains of Snowdonia young Dion must navigate his sexual awakening, guided by the spirits of Wales’ ancient past. This visually stunning short combines themes of sexuality and gender with Welsh myths and legends, reminding this programmer of the 1974 film Penda’s Fen.
Silence
During the first lockdown a teenager wanders London’s streets at night, tagging buildings in his manor. One night, while creating a new artwork he hears music from a nearby abandoned building, and finds a girl dancing ballet, sparking a newfound curiosity and desire for dance, much to the dismay of his blokey father.
Fluorescent Adolescent
Set in 1987, against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis, this is the story of bored teenager Brittany, whose life is enlivened when she meets out and proud Faras, and the two bond over a love of music and their experience of being outsiders among their clique of friends.
