Director Biography -&nbsp;Christina Shen, Eugene Ko<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/fae0062ccaf53da4402aa9d053f97120.jpg" width="273">Eugene Ko is a Korean-American writer/filmmaker who graduated Stanford University with a dual degree in Art history and Creative Writing. With over ten years of experience in filmmaking, his previous works include “Ramen” and “Pastor,” both stories that center on Korean American experiences. Now based in Los Angeles, he is currently working to assist other filmmakers in tandem with continuing his work as a writer/director. Christina Shen is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts in New York. She has worked with a wide range of artistic media, including painting, photography, and sculpture. She is motivated by stories of diaspora, intergenerationality, and celebrations of intimacy in the everyday, which she hopes to explore as she ventures into the world of narrative film.

Director Biography -&nbsp;Joey Rizzolo<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/388197f1055227a222d8964b06ba6860.png">Joey Rizzolo is a director of theater and film, and an interdisciplinary performance artist. Like much of the art he has produced, the artist developed himself in New York, directing plays and musicals ranging from new work to Shakespeare, with a particular penchant for politics and the stories of young people. As one of the early members of the New York Neo-Futurists, he created and developed new work for nearly 2 decades. He teaches interdisciplinary performance and film at Oberlin College. Writer &amp; EP Biography - Katharine Chin<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/b373a19b4479bf6acc8a28fda6b86a16.png" width="192">Katharine Chin is an actor, writer, and producer based in upstate New York. She developed her writing voice with the San Francisco Neo-Futurists. Katharine is drawn to stories and themes that are humanistic, delightful, deeply felt, and subtly subversive. She received her MFA in acting from The New School. She is currently in pre-production for her next short film about a new mother struggling with post-partum depression who gets in the car and starts driving. And driving. And driving.﻿

A deadly virus has broken out in South Korea. Aeri and Mari are unable to contact their mother back in Seoul while they are stranded in the countryside along with Mari's boyfriend, Sangyeop. Although Aeri is wary of her younger sister's boyfriend, they all have to work together to defeat a zombie who has washed up on shore. Paranoia ensues when Aeri has a chance to take out Sangyeop once and for all. Director Biography -&nbsp;Michael Y. Kim<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/b46d974185eb77bde0a795e92fb526ce.jpg" width="201">Michael is a Korean-American writer/director based in New York who is drawn to narratives that span a wide range of genres but ultimately depict the nuances of one’s desires to feel accepted in this world and the intricacies in which they present themselves in everyday life.He hopes to challenge perspectives and impart moments of introspection. He believes that empathy is the most powerful force in the world and hopes to share that through his films. His films have screened at festivals such as New York Shorts International Film Festival and DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon. He has also produced films that have screened at CAAMFest, the Great Short Film Festival, and Fargo Film Festival.He has previously studied Creative Producing at Columbia University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Harvard University.

This supernatural thriller explores themes of identity, heritage, and forgiveness, culminating in a heart-wrenching revelation that bridges the gap between Jessica's present and her roots. Director Biography -&nbsp;Cameron F Sun<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/0b69d53aac2623de11e378b89a395efa.jpg" width="237">Cameron Sun is a Chinese American filmmaker. He spent his childhood and adolescence bouncing between the United States and China, having lived in New York City, Shanghai and Minnesota. His love for movies began in childhood through a combo of Hong Kong action cinema and Pixar animated films. He's passionate about creating genre films that explore Asian American identity, and cross cultural understanding.﻿He graduated from NYU Tisch in 2016. His horror short film The Hangman, premiered at Screamfest Horror Film Festival, and won Best Horror/Thriller Film at Glendale International Film Festival. His action short films Spider-Chan and John Witch won back to back Best Fan Film awards at Urban Action Showcase.

Director Biography -&nbsp;Johan<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/5860bd35e25d07266e603ea383dc82ae.jpg" width="221">Johan Casal, is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Bay Area producing work in film, music, theater, and dance through his production company Kuya Johan Productions. Deemed as a “...leader in arts in culture…” by President Lynn Mahoney during the 2023 SF State commencement ceremony, where he received his degree in Cinema and Dance. Casal’s work aims to uplift underrepresented voices while educating and preserving his culture. He performed as lead male dancer in Netflix’s production of “The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Live Experience in San Francisco,” and directed and produced an original feature film, “Manalo: The Movie Musical,” highlighting the shared struggles of Filipinx-Americans and celebrating the Philippines’ diverse cultures; the film received a certificate of recognition by Daly City Mayor Juslyn Manalo and California State Treasure, The Honorable Fiona Ma. Casal is a company member of Kularts, the premiere presenter of tribal and contemporary Pilipino arts.﻿
