Statement// Luring us into believing that we're watching two lovers who are chatting by webcam, REFLEXION is a story describing the hunger for human connection that we all felt during the coronavirus quarantine of 2020. Thrown into an exceedingly difficult trial. forced to maintain social distancing in order to keep the death toll the lowest possible, we lost something we always took for granted: human connection. Never before, did we appreciate the importance of human connection in our lives. Pushed to lose ourselves into chat, social networks, games, netflix, art, music and any other distraction to fill this void, so many of us were left miserable, on the edge of insanity, lost in depression and lusting for human proximity. Like the protagonist standing up in front of his mirror, fantasizing for the ideal human connection, in a world where socializing became a crime. Based on how many felt, on how many went through this journey that will change mankind forever, my film "REFLEXION", entirely written and created during quarantine, is a very simple representation of the journey mankind went through in 2020.
