At an all-time low in her personal and professional life, young architect Charlotte stumbles upon a mysterious structure in her backyard on her underwhelming birthday — a fairy house. The house pulls her into a magical dimension – part memory, part dream – reminding her of the love and imagination she knew before the disappointment of growing up. Returning to the real world, she unleashes her frustration at her well-intending but imperfect partner, immediately regretting the outburst. She finds relief and reconnection with her partner, her inner child, and her present dreams by building a fairy home of her own.
A debut film by femme + they/them student filmmakers in a collaboration between the College of Communication and School of Theatre at Boston University. Filmed in Arlington and Allston, MA.
