Aunties, Uncles, Leaders - these are people whose life's work have contributed to the future fabric of the Indigenous world. By striving to maintain their families, their communities, their Indigenous ways of life, these people have transformed the worlds around them. Be inspired by their stories.



These shorts programs may differentiate from the shorts programs presented at our in-person festival screenings due to the various geoblocking restraints on each film.




Five generations of matriarchal lineage are weaved across time as Kokum Penny Roan describes how her uncle burned down a residential school when he was a child.



Tyson Houseman is a Nêhiyaw video artist, performer, and filmmaker from Paul First Nation.
