Through physical activity and contact, ancestral tongue, creation of hand, dance, migration and reconnection to whenua, these stories express the inherent and immersive connection between us and our ties to the lands from which we come from. 


These shorts programs may differentiate from the shorts programs presented at our in-person festival screenings due to the various geoblocking restraints on each film.




This film highlights Cassie Ayoungman, founder of Soul of Miistaki, on her journey of self-discovery through climbing — integrating Indigenous teachings and land-based learning into climbing clinics with an aim to redefine relationships to the outdoors.



Sinakson Trevor Solway is a Blackfoot filmmaker from Siksika Nation and award-winning director of Tales from the Rez and Siksikakowan.
