Through physical activity and contact, ancestral tongue, creation of hand, dance, migration and reconnection to whenua, these stories express the inherent and immersive connection between us and our ties to the lands from which we come from. 


These shorts programs may differentiate from the shorts programs presented at our in-person festival screenings due to the various geoblocking restraints on each film.




In El Morrillo, clay remembers her hands. Between fire and earth, a Wankavilca grandmother shapes vessels, guarding ancient secrets, keeping alive a millenary craft that refuses to die.



Eduardo Valiente is an Ecuadorian filmmaker experienced in film crews and documentary directing who is committed to community stories and amplifying Wankavilka voices and local memories.
