Born into a culture that values male leadership above all, Melikhaya finds it difficult to find her place as a strong African woman. When her brother makes choices that impact the entire community, she is forced to make a tough decision. This film was directed by Liziwe Damba, who grew up in the South African township of Khayelisha, and Indiana native, Mallory Myers. It was shot on location in South Africa as a student crew from Film School Africa.

In the deserts of Baja California (México), Daria and Teresa are the last two speakers of the Ku'ahl indigenous language. In their world of oblivion and decrepitude, they lament the imminent extinction of the ku'ahl language and culture as the modern world moves on with indifference. But as long as Daria and Teresa converse together, ku'ahl lives.

Alma is pursued by a shadowy being that she tries to ignore. As she waits one morning for the kettle to heat the water, the shadowy being tries to contact her. Careful at first, it demands more and more attention and claims to Alma's body. It grows until it fills the kitchen and Alma has no choice but to face it. Alma begins a process of grief and acceptance of the shadowy being in her life. She has to deal with it and finally finds a kind of coexistence.

Diagnosis

After being diagnosed with endometriosis, Alma struggles to come to terms with the disease and struggles to gain acceptance and control over her body and reality.

Rene gets far more than she expected when she accepts a last minute photography gig taking portraits for a young woman. Upon meeting her client, Jaz, the true nature of Rene’s job comes into focus.

Blue Hour

Two personal journeys intersect when a struggling young photographer is hired for a cheap last minute portrait gig. The unfolding photo session, while transient, leaves an indelible mark on both women.

Scotland, 1662. Fear and suspicion have run rampant across the country, due to the terrible witch trials that have already claimed hundreds of lives; and even moreso, the notorious witch prickers who are paid to apprehend these alleged witches. John Dickson is one such witch pricker, contracted to hunt down a cottar’s wife named Isobel Gowdie, who has been accused of malicious deeds and witchcraft. Upon finding and detaining Gowdie, Dickson is forced to confront his own cruel acts, as well as the dark secrets he has long since been running from. He cannot hide from his true self forever. Filmmakers are scheduled to be in attendance at screenings on April 25th and April 27th.
