A celebration of student and indie created animations from filmmakers world-wide, this collection will delight and amaze you. Included are shorts plus one feature length film from the UK.

A llama named Reginald has dreams that are sky high, because all he wants is to be able to fly. Will Reginald be able to take flight or is he destined to live out his life on land?

Juror comments: This animated short is fantastical and fun. The whimsical and magical comedic story follows a llama named Reginald who has dreams of flying. Will Reginald be able to take flight or is he destined to live out his life on land?

Once in a while we all need just a bit of fantasy to brighten our day and this is certainly that. Do llamas really fly? I think now; but in animation and make believe, anything is possible. And so it is with Reginald as he dances and prances across the screen, only to dream of flying while watching the birds in the sky. The music is charming, the poetry in iambic pentameter, the suspense when he jumps off the cliff is sustained and rewarded when he next appears dancing across the sky – no spoiler intended here. I love it and will probably be singing this song for the rest of the day. Da de da da…

Message – never give up on your dreams, however wild they are.

I give this 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 2 to 18, but only if older people have a sense of humor. Reviewed by Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
