Iris has been sharing stories from around the world for 15 years, so it’s always a pleasure and a privilege when we can share some from places new. Encompassing drama, documentary and a music video, these films take us to Russia, Iran, Bulgaria, war-torn Libya and the Atikamekw First Nation community in Manawan, Quebec. Globally, the rights and freedoms of Queer people vary greatly, and though these films shine a light on the terrible difficulties many still face, they also offer messages of hope.

Mae Iris wedi bod yn rhannu straeon o bedwar ban byd ers 15 mlynedd, felly mae hi bob amser yn bleser ac yn fraint pan allwn ni rannu rhai o lefydd newydd. Gan gwmpasu drama, ffilmiau dogfen, a fideo cerddoriaeth, mae'r ffilmiau hyn yn mynd â ni i Rwsia, Iran, Bwlgaria, Libya sydd wedi'i rhwygo gan ryfel, a chymuned Cenedl Gyntaf Atikamekw ym Manawan, Quebec. Yn fyd-eang, mae hawliau a rhyddid pobl Queer yn amrywio'n fawr, ac er bod y ffilmiau hyn yn taflu goleuni ar yr anawsterau ofnadwy y mae llawer yn eu hwynebu o hyd, maent hefyd yn cynnig negeseuon o obaith.

On a hilltop overlooking the city a man lives alone with his beloved mannequin. When he hears reports that there is a census about to take place, he strives to have him added to the roll.

Ar ben bryn sy'n edrych dros y ddinas, mae dyn yn byw ar ei ben ei hun gyda'i mannequin annwyl. Pan fydd yn clywed adroddiadau bod cyfrifiad ar fin digwydd, mae'n ymdrechu i'w ychwanegu at y gofrestr.
