CANS Can’t Stand
From executive producer BIG FREEDIA, "CANS Can't Stand" follows a group of Black trans women in New Orleans who are fighting to repeal Louisiana's Crime Against Nature by Solicitation (CANS) law, which police and prosecutors have used to terrorize queer/trans Louisianians for 40 years.
Peach Paradise
A documentary about the Bitten Peach, the Pan-Asian queer collective that has flourished since being founded in early 2019 with a mission "to empower the queer Asian community by providing safe spaces, diversifying Asian representation, and educating non-Asians on racial issues."

In a powerful film essay based on her own experience of sexual assault, filmmaker and activist Yael Nudelman provides a platform for her friends to testify, exploring rape culture, and its long-term effects, facilitating conversations that are often all too often avoided.

Documentaries offer a window into Queer lives around the world, bringing to light stories and issues we might otherwise never have heard of. This year’s programme includes four films from Europe and the US, covering a wide range of subjects, from Louisiana’s archaic ‘Crimes Against Nature’ law to the mysterious disappearance of transgender pop star Lana Kaiser.
