Wetland birds – terns and oystercatchers – were decreasing in numbers due to difficulty nesting. Their habitats were compromised, making them easy prey for predators. Deeply affected by seeing the birds unable to make nests, Piotr researched solutions and started an organization that builds floating nests for the birds.
