In 1915 Buenos Aires, Rachel, a religious Jewish woman, dreams of dancing tango. Determined to defy the limits imposed on her, she enters a brothel, where she meets Rivka, a prostitute who introduces her to the soul of tango. Through this unexpected encounter, both women discover a form of freedom that will change their lives forever. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/e3044922dc638533c904cfef94846182.jpg" width="91">Lea Kalisch is a Swiss-born director, producer, actress, and singer trained in New York and currently based in Vienna. She creates multicultural and multilingual art that blends music, dance, drama, and comedy in both theater and film.﻿

Bulldozer follows the comedic and emotional journey of Jo Goodman as she struggles to find balance in her life. Jo has everything going for her but she can't seem to get out of her own way. She is convinced there must be something wrong with her because life is just so hard and she can't ever seem to get what she wants. Maybe she has a debilitating physical ailment, or maybe it's mental illness, or maybe it's actually nothing at all. The series will watch Jo as she tries to uncover exactly who she is, accept it, and figure out how to move through the world without bulldozing (or at least not quite as much). His first short documentary, “The Peacock That Passed Over” has screened in the official selection of BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying festivals across the UK, USA, and Canada, and is distributed by Seventh Art Releasing. It was recently nominated for Best Yorkshire Short Film at the Leeds International Film Festival 2023. He also won the Pears Short Film Fund 2024 awarded by UK Jewish Film, with his project “Our Neighbour’s Ass” - starring Dame Maureen Lipman and directed by Max. It won the Young Jury Award for Best Short Film at the BAFTA qualifying UK Jewish Film festival 2024.

Our Neighbour's Ass

Against the background of war and constant air-raids, Ido, his autistic son Michael and their sick dog Oggi are forced to take a trip to the veterinary hospital, where some tough decisions will have to be made. Now that the Gaza war has broken out and there are constant air raid warnings, all schools are closed. Ido, an architect who works from home, finds himself caring for his 12-year-old son Michael who has both physical and mental disabilities. Michael’s stress and anxiety are heightened when he discovers that his dog, Oggi, is very sick. Ido, Michael and Oggi take a trip to the veterinary hospital, where some tough decisions will have to made. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/cf37bd067fac6da0b4d0f7a8d9911af4.jpg" width="115">Omri Levy was born in Berkeley California and raised in Israel. After serving as a combat officer in the IDF he attended the Sam Spiegel School of Cinema in Jerusalem, where he graduated with honors. His student film “Sand” won 11 international awards, was screened at over 60 film festivals around the world and was a finalist for the Student American Academy Awards (1998). Omri has since directed the film “Miss Entebbe” and has been the Academic Director of the Maaleh Film School, since 2007. In that time he has written and directed many films.﻿

Finally, facing her most difficult hour, Frida realizes the profound grace of unconditional compassion as she inspires a vital ray of hope in those who need it the most and saves the life of her dear friend the Rabbi. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/9327bfb5bbb2f73ba81f4c12c4d9a461.jpg" width="119">David Bercovici-Artieda is an award-winning Latin-American filmmaker whose journey into the arts began early in life. At the age of six, he starred on the popular children’s variety show Telejardín, and by eight, he was already taking, developing, and printing color and black-and-white photographs. Fueled by a passion for storytelling and the power of imagery, David pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies at Concordia University in Montreal and earned a Certificate of Excellence from Vancouver Film School. His career in film blossomed as he worked his way up the ranks—from an apprentice camera assistant to a sought-after cinematographer—contributing to hundreds of film and TV productions and collaborating with some of Hollywood’s top actors, directors, and producers.
