Set in Leeds, England UK, a widow, left with the responsibility of caring for her late husband’s donkey comes up against her neighbour’s frustrations as the donkey becomes a local nuisance.


Max Goldberg is an award-winning writer-director from the UK. His first short documentary, “The Peacock That Passed Over” has screened in the official selection of BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying festivals across the UK, USA, and Canada, and is distributed by Seventh Art Releasing. It was recently nominated for Best Yorkshire Short Film at the Leeds International Film Festival 2023. He also won the Pears Short Film Fund 2024 awarded by UK Jewish Film, with his project “Our Neighbour’s Ass” - starring Dame Maureen Lipman and directed by Max. It won the Young Jury Award for Best Short Film at the BAFTA qualifying UK Jewish Film festival 2024.
