A 93 year old professor recounts how he and nearly 100,000 Jews were saved by Raoul Wallenberg, who was once a student at the University he had taught at for 50 years.

Years later, a group of professors and local activists, created the Wallenberg Medal and Lecture to honor people who have similar qualities to those of Raoul Wallenberg and to learn from them.

Director/Writer JOHN J. VALADEZ is Professor of Documentary filmmaking at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a Peabody Award winning filmmaker whose films have received two national Emmy nominations.
