What do you say about a father who is lovingly referred to as Daddio? Meet Cecile, Margie and Bonnie's dad, a funny, energetic man who is proving age has no limitations. As he sails towards his 100th birthday his accomplishments are impressive and his positivity overflowing. This mini-doc profiles Daddio as seen through the eyes of his adoring daughters who give a humorous entrée into the world of their madcap father. His secrets to longevity are a day full of activity which consists of sewing, socializing, enjoying a daily 90 minute gym workout and dancing every chance he gets! He believes in drinking from the cup of joyfulness and gratitude, mixed in with a small amount of ouzo to keep the laughter going!

Tamar, an ultra-Orthodox girl from an extremist community, is taken to the hospital by her beloved father, who thinks she has had sex. Her relationship with her father and her virginity both are being tested. In an ultra-Orthodox family, the father lies that the daughter was raped. Her father takes her to the hospital for an examination to determine the status of her virginity. The daughter finds herself undergoing an intrusive examination accompanied by questioning without any ability to make her voice heard and tell the truth. She experiences alienation from her family and neglect from the medical staff in a safe room.

The film follows Danielle, a Mizrahi Jewish actress living in New York struggling to navigate her identity through the lens of her environment. How does identity play into her own pursuit of happiness and will it dictate her future? A first-time film director and writer, her short film script was selected for the Chelsea Film Festival Incubator Program for Screenwriting, marking an early milestone in her directing career. She focuses on telling stories from underrepresented communities, most recently drawing inspiration from her own experiences as a Mizrahi woman in the United States. Human connection and storytelling have been at the heart of her journey from the beginning, and she is committed to creating a more inclusive world through visual and narrative connection.﻿

13-year-old Adam discovers his father is having an affair. He decides to keep it a secret to save his parents’ failing marriage. However, the secret consumes Adam, and he realizes he cannot keep it for much longer. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/b77aa62315f0c4b845978b62f59a3494.jpg" width="115">Nikolay (born 1986) is a Jerusalem-based independent filmmaker. At the start of his adolescence, he immigrated from a small and unknown village in Russia to Israel. Facing the challenges of language barrier and communication difficulties, Nikolay developed a unique cinematic language that is both silent and deeply sensitive.

"The Hero" tells the story of a young, aimless boy who soon becomes drawn into the world of the charity GIFT. The boy eventually takes up the mantle of the heroic giver, finding a unique way to give back to the kindly volunteer who inspired him.

Shortly before his 15th birthday, Wladyslaw "Walter" Wojnas took a bike ride into the Polish countryside. When he returned, he found Nazi troops burning down his village and murdering his entire family. Walter was kidnapped, thrown into a military truck, and sent to a labor camp. From 1940 to 1945, Walter endured the Stutthof Concentration Camp in Nazi-occupied Poland. He worked under the extreme authoritative hand of a Nazi Master Watchmaker who taught him how to turn the stolen watches from the Jews into gifts for the Nazi officers. Upon liberation, Walter was determined to learn everything he could about the internal workings of clocks and watches. He felt he could get some kind of revenge by obtaining as much knowledge as he could and become the very best master watchmaker. Based on a True Story. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/95cef8519c8a374d8b6bb3755474ba9e.jpg" width="94">Mitch Yapko is an award-winning writer/director/producer, known for his unique character work, focusing often on real characters in surreal situations. He looks for the heart of the story, and strives to make all of his films relatable. He loves taking ideas from concept through to completion, and loves to pull people out of their day-to-day lives and into his imagined worlds. His films have shown in over 100 film festivals over the years, including Sundance Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Dances with Films, and many others. Three of his last short projects went on to screen at over 75 festivals around the world.﻿

A 93 year old professor recounts how he and nearly 100,000 Jews were saved by Raoul Wallenberg, who was once a student at the University he had taught at for 50 years. Years later, a group of professors and local activists, created the Wallenberg Medal and Lecture to honor people who have similar qualities to those of Raoul Wallenberg and to learn from them. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/1a1d90a269e82dc20017b4b637a91bda.jpg" width="108">Director/Writer JOHN J. VALADEZ is Professor of Documentary filmmaking at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a Peabody Award winning filmmaker whose films have received two national Emmy nominations. He has directed a dozen documentary films for primetime national broadcast on PBS and CNN over the past 20 years Valadez has tackled such diverse subjects as the false imprisonment of a leader of the Black Panther (Passin’ It On for POV/PBS); Latino gangs in Chicago (Making Peace for PBS); Latinos in World War II (Latino Americans for PBS); the re-segregation of America’s schools (Beyond Brown for PBS); the history of Latino civil rights (The Longoria Affair for Independent Lens/PBS); the evolution of Chicano music (Latin Music USA for PBS); art and the genocide of Native Americans in the Southwest (The Last Conquistador for POV/PBS); the deportation of U.S. military veterans (American Exile for Voces/PBS); and the lynching of Mexican Americans (The Head of Joaquin Murrieta for PBS) to name a few.

Wallenberg

Haim &amp; Esther are an old married couple. Haim is a terminal cancer patient, despite that he is joyful and has a taste for life. In contrast, his bitter wife is fed up with the situation but can’t stop caring for him. Their opposing personalities produce serious tensions and lead to a surprising end.
