The Bum Family are a group of Calgarian cousins - Maezy, Medina, and Zaiyah Dennie and Berlin, Ocean, and Sol Demuth - who create anarchy, hilarity and art. Films showing are: Lilly and the Baby, Lilly Goes Fishing, Lilly Goes to the Dogs, and Pollution Solution.

The Bum Family is a group of 6 cousins from Calgary, Canada, who create short animated movies together. Maezy, Medina, and Zaiyah Dennie (ages 15, 14, and 11), and Berlin, Ocean, and Sol (ages 15, 12, and 8) write their stories, create the artwork, direct, animate, and voice their movies. Their short films have screened at over 100 film festivals, and have won awards for Audience Favourite and Best Animation. They recently made a short film for pre-schoolers for Sesame Street.


Juror's comments: OMG, another wonderful animated short from the talented Bum Family! I couldn't wait to watch this and was not disappointed. This group of 6 cousins brings such delightful stories to life with their fun paper animation, voice talent, and creativity. This definitely is a winner that will make a great addition to any KIDS FIRST! Film Festival partner venue. It holds your interest from beginning to end, with many quirky moments throughout - all kid and family-friendly. I recommend it for ages 7 to 18, as well as adults, and give it 5 out of 5 stars.
