His work gravitates&nbsp;toward diverse stories and underrepresented voices, often exploring identity, family, and emotional conflict. Born&nbsp;in Greece and later moving to his second home, Australia, he once saw the English language as a limitation, but it&nbsp;led him toward a more visual form of storytelling. Greece is deeply missed by Luca (10), a young Greek immigrant living in Cargèse, on the Corsican coast. On his 75th birthday, a man recalls his encounter with a mysterious woman in 1970s Athens, at the height of military government rule.<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/ba3da308dd95d81beed4080e76a3d558.jpg" width="111"> Ranw Aso-Rashid is the CEO/Founder of AR Studios. He is an award-winning science teacher and filmmaker. AR Studios builds on years of his work providing over 130 underrepresented students with paid roles, mentorship, and work experience across two continents. The studio’s films have earned BIFA qualification, awards and nominations at BAFTA- and BIFA-qualifying festivals, with streaming releases on Amazon Prime (ShortsTV), MYM Media, and Minute Shorts.&nbsp; The company’s 2025-26 slate spans six active productions, including two confidential titles across two continents. Its debut feature documentary The Lost Photography of Kurdistan — a large-budget international co-production executive produced by BAFTA nominee Clare Richards — has begun filming. This slate also includes major sci-fi film and series Project Helios in partnership with Epic Studios. In 2025, AR Studios launched the AR Studios Filmmakers’ Network, a curated global initiative connecting elite creative and technical talent in cinema and television.﻿

10-year-old Persephone has a school project due tomorrow — but first, she must find her mother, who’s been missing for days. Christos Artemiou is a Greek-Cypriot filmmaker based in Athens. With a passion for cinema since childhood, he pursued film directing through self-study, hands-on practice, and participation in film school seminars, screenwriting workshops, and development labs. In 2023, he was selected to participate in the international script development workshop What’s the Story? — a collaboration between the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), Talents and Short Film Market (TSFM), the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, and the North Macedonia Film Agency. Christos is drawn to stories grounded in realism, often exploring the raw, unfiltered realities of urban life in contemporary Greek society. His work is shaped by personal experience, focusing on marginalized characters navigating poverty and fragile family dynamics.
