Following three second and third-generation Italians living in Edinburgh, this documentary explores the establishment of one of the biggest immigrant communities in Scotland and their rich contribution to Scottish cuisine. Once considered the recipe of an honest immigrant, what happens when WWII transforms ice cream to the food of the enemy?

A young man contemplates a future abroad after becoming disillusioned with his country. The symbolic post-Brexit (re)introduction of Britain's old blue passports leaves Alex Rossi (Ben Duncan-Duggal) with doubts about whether he wants to continue living in the UK. Travelling to the coast and feeling the pull of old family ties with Italy, he tries to decide whether to stay or leave. Shot on S16mm with a 70s Aaton, 'Blue Passport' channels the resolute, downbeat endings of Don Siegel's 'Dirty Harry' (1971) and Chris Petit's cult British road movie, 'Radio On' (1979).

BLUE PASSPORT

Hernán is a child who likes to daydreaming, but in his studies he is not doing well at all. His father constantly urges him to improve, advising him that he must reach very high to succeed in life. Hernán dispenses with his dream, gradually forgetting it to devote himself to his studies. Over time, and already become a successful entrepreneur, Hernán achieves the dream that his father instilled in him, reach high, until one day he will realize that he has not really achieved something he always longed for. Then he will make the crucial decision to fulfill his dream, but fate will play tricks on him. Hernán will have to face a new challenge that will change the meaning of his life.

THE BOY AND THE MOUNTAIN

The story is the fictional account of the last five minutes of the acclaimed painter Vincent Van Gogh who was a failure in his lifetime. Death who has come to take him makes an offer which Van Gogh rejects and accepts the hands of death gracefully.
