This hybrid documentary short uncovers a lesser-known chapter of the Holocaust—the mass murder of Lithuanian Jews by Nazi occupiers and local collaborators in forests surrounding hundreds of shtetls. Based on survivor testimony, the film follows Frida, a newlywed whose return to her hometown of Šeduva in search of safety turns into terror as neighbors become executioners. Forced to choose between staying with her family or saving herself, Frida’s story reveals how a centuries-old Jewish community was erased—bullet by bullet, village by village.
