Despite their 8-year age gap, Tess and her little sister Liv share a special bond. From a young age it’s apparent that Liv is musically gifted, but she also shows early signs of mental illness. As the pair grow older, Liv slips further away into anxiety, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts as Tess desperately tries to save her. According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. for children and young adults ages 10 to 24.&nbsp; The film Liv, gives that statistic a face — sharing the relatable story of Olivia “Liv” Kunik, a young girl with a bubbly theatrical presence who is faced with relentless social media pressure, teen depression and suicidal thoughts. In this panel discussion with Liv’s family and the team behind the film, they shed light on the aftermath of suicide, the volatility of young life on the edge and what can be done to slow the swell in suicide rates. *Live events will not be available to watch from the Apple TV app.
