It’s a story that’s not easy to be told, but it’s a story that must be told. According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. for children and young adults ages 10 to 24.

The film Liv, gives that statistic a face — sharing the relatable story of Olivia “Liv” Kunik, a young girl with a bubbly theatrical presence who is faced with relentless social media pressure, teen depression and suicidal thoughts. In this panel discussion with Liv’s family and the team behind the film, they shed light on the aftermath of suicide, the volatility of young life on the edge and what can be done to slow the swell in suicide rates.
