I DO NOT BELONG IN THIS BODY: Devran, a 23-year-old transman, has left his home in western Azerbaijan to seek hormonal therapy for gender adaptation surgery. But in Azerbaijan, few doctors or health clinics are willing to treat transgender people. While there are more options in the capital Baku than in his hometown of Shamkir, Devran still faces prejudice and discrimination when trying to obtain even basic medical treatment.
QUIET MOMENTS: Anne has been living on Cora’s family farm for over a year and the two have become incredibly close. Cora is becoming increasingly stressed about the farm’s deteriorating financial situation. Anne tries to be supportive and find ways to help Cora but her efforts are futile against Cora’s stubbornness.
TALK SOON: During the course of an overnight visit, Sasha and Rae grapple to return to an emotional place that’s just beyond reach. Navigating their connection, the couple falters in their attempts to communicate feelings within a space that once felt so different.
NEXT OF KIN: After a night out in Berlin, a young, gay, British guy becomes the victim of a system which denies his existence and throws him into oblivion following the sudden death of his partner.

Lucy Birnie is a Film Student at the University of Gloucestershire, dedicated to producing unique and interesting visual socially-focused films. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she feels the drive to tell stories that so often get overlooked by mainstream media. She enjoys acting and writing alongside filmmaking and is currently working on a number of new and exciting LGBTQ+ films.
