Director Bio/Statement:
Amina ABDOULAYE MAMANI is a Director/Producer at Diam Production. She started in cinema with the African Forum of Documentary Film of Niamey. Then, after 3 years of study in audiovisual production at the IFTIC in Niamey, with her graduation documentary "The Hawan idi", she won the award for best school documentary film at Fespaco 2013. In 2014, she follows a writing residency and a training in directing for 12 months, at Cinedoc-films (Annecy/France) where she directs "The silence of papers", 26mn, selected at the Festival of African Cinemas of APT Countries (France). In 2018, after a long work of research she signs "On the traces of Mamani Abdoulaye" her first feature documentary (1h3mn). This film has been selected and awarded in several festivals in Africa and Europe. In 2020, she is training in production at CINEKAP in Dakar.
