As both a meditation and a listening exercise, On Freedom Of Movement (wi de muv) considers the necessity and inevitability of movement and the ability of the environments we live in to create the space we need. Director Bio/Statement:Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and based in London, over the years Julianknxx has developed an expansive artistic practice ranging from poetry and performance to sculpture and film, drawing on his personal experiences to broaden perspectives on the history and culture of Africa and its diasporas. His polyphonic work allows us to reflect on what it means to acknowledge and embrace our fundamental differences and plurality.

His debut short, MADA (2021) received critical acclaim. He is currently at work on his first feature.

She started in cinema with the African Forum of Documentary Film of Niamey. Then, after 3 years of study in audiovisual production at the IFTIC in Niamey, with her graduation documentary "The Hawan idi", she won the award for best school documentary film at Fespaco 2013. In 2014, she follows a writing residency and a training in directing for 12 months, at Cinedoc-films (Annecy/France) where she directs "The silence of papers", 26mn, selected at the Festival of African Cinemas of APT Countries (France). In 2018, after a long work of research she signs "On the traces of Mamani Abdoulaye" her first feature documentary (1h3mn). This film has been selected and awarded in several festivals in Africa and Europe. In 2020, she is training in production at CINEKAP in Dakar.
